Have been sweating over this track during the Heatwave last week. Resisting the urge to lie in the sun, in favour of listening to the same track a couple of hundred times, slowly going a bit la la. Consoled myself by eating my bodyweight in ice cream throughout the process. Got to the point where I was editing the track in my dreams.......very worrying. Still its done with for now and I hope you enjoy.

How lucky am I. Having a girlfriend who is understanding and tolerant of my creative needs is one thing, but a girlfriend who actively participates in amateur beatboxing sessions in bed is a rare commodity (unless you tell me otherwise). We were at it (beatboxing that is), for over 20 mins last night which is longer than the average couple in Ashby de la Touche, spend under the covers in their birthday suits. Made up statistics aside we managed a pretty good remix of Ride on Time by Black Box followed by a couple of Bill Withers classics. Am starting to think there could be long term therapeutic benefits to this. So maybe I should add "Marriage guidance counsellor" to my profile. Either way Beatboxing in bed comes highly recommended, just think of it as rhythmic foreplay. Give it a go, only dont be too close to each others face as the saliva fallout can be quite high. Go forth and make beats.
There are some things in life you say you are gonna do, and they never happen. Equally there are things you say you will never do, and before you know it you are doing them (more on those another time). Well for years I've been intending to get my tunes out there and this is the first step in that process.
Using your bedroom as a studio has its advantages and its disadvantages. Having the freedom to record and produce your tracks in your birthday suit can be liberating. With the addition of a sock you feel you could be part of the chilli peppers. On the flip side, coming home drunk and thinking you are capable of writing a masterpiece, only to listen in horror the following morning to the wailings of some ferrel tramp on speed (on a good day), can leave you questioning your creative abilities altogether.
Anyway, the tracks I'm putting up here are all written, played, recorded and produced by myself, in the bedroom, except for the dulcit tones of Miss Katherine King who I've worked with for 4 years (in the bedroom....but not in that way).Hope y'all enjoy them. Meesta Feesha. x
